Why TrakSmart as opposed to a competitor?

TrakSmart offers integrated, comprehensive, self-administering, thin client modules covering the whole spectrum of Human Performance related issues, which easily integrate into existing systems. To the best of our knowledge no other UK company offers such a comprehensive range of features, method of approach or modern solution.

 

Why change?

Many organisations are realising that the old annual paper based procedures do not deliver accurate meaningful and timely enough results to match current business needs. Once a year is too little, too late.

 

What will the maintenance agreement offer?

All the usual upgrades and fixes and in addition the right to take later versions of bought modules as they broaden with additional functionality.

 

Will a package solve my problems?

Yes, for most clients.

TrakSmart’s standard solution can be further customised to each client’s needs.

 

What about my other systems?

TrakSmart will link to most other systems and the development team have very significant, proven integration experience. Some of the development team has worked on site with Microsoft in USA.

 

What modules are available?

Performance Management

This module delivers competences, objectives, PDPs, ratings and T& D gap analysis.

Learning Resources

Why just identify a problem? - this module helps you solve it by creating a catalog of links to web sites/videos/word documents/mentors/books/training courses etc.

Training

Set training tables per individual or job rolw. These can be mandatory (compliance) or optional. Training tables can be set by the organisation or manager or individual.

Scoop

Why spend thousands developing an integrated Intranet when you can create browser pages from within HR screens? This module delivers pre-dateable stacked, Themes and News items, which are released onto user’s home pages at pre-defined dates.

E-mail diary reminders

Set up any number of e-mails to be sent to pre-defined users on set dates or joining date anniversaries, group them by individual, department or company. Imagine how much work this saves an HR team.

 

What about remote workers?

Features of the modules enable remote users to contribute to the system via web or the client’s own network or even Optically Mark Read forms for those users without computers.

 

What about control?

The system adopts the twin complementary aims of self-management and procedural control. This delivers cultural buy-in by all staff and regular rapid management information at all levels.

 

Who can see what?

A manager or director can instantly view all data about any team member that reports directly or indirectly. This is a very powerful option as it enables rapid identification of both outstanding and poor performance with the tools to do something about both.

 

What can HR see?

Everything! With minimal management.

 

Can we use our own competences?

Yes, either your own or recognised leading practitioner’s or a combination to meet best practice ideas and standards.

 

What sort of help can you provide?

We can develop competences and objectives if you so wish or upload pre-existing data of your own.

 

Can you provide references?

Yes.

 

What do I need to run the system?

A server and Microsoft SQL server software which is freely available in the marketplace.

 

What about speed?

One of our clients rung us soon after installation to say how pleased he was with the speed compared to his other systems.

 

How long does it take to implement?

Three to six weeks to the first installation and from thereon it’s dependent upon the size of the organisation.

 

How soon will I see an improvement?

Immediately and you can verify this with other clients.

 

Can you produce a budgetary cost for me?

Yes.

 

What is the cost?

Charges are based upon a flat cost plus a charge per user. Both are once only costs.

 

What if my number of users subsequently goes up?

You pay only for the increased users.

 

How much is the annual charge?

There is no annual charge apart from maintenance, which is 17.5% of initial cost.
